How do I apply ?
Return the following documents to:
Shamrock Au-Pair Agency, ‘Magheree’, Kilmorony, Athy,
Co. Kildare, Ireland.
- Completed Application Form
- Au Pair Agreement, signed and dated
- Photocopy of valid passport
- Completed Medical Certificate
- Passport photographs
- ‘Mini Photo Album’: photographs of you
with children, your pets, friends, family….. attached to sheets
of paper with one line of text per photograph.
- Letter to host family
- one CHARACTER REFERENCE from a non-relative or
friend i.e. teacher, employer, neighbour,…..
- 2-3 CHILDCARE REFERENCES The reference letters
must include: date, name, full address and telephone number of the
person who wrote the reference, how many hours in total you looked
after the children, the ages and number of children + best time to
contact the referee.
- Certificate from the police or the Department
of Justice to state that you do not have a criminal record.
Upon receipt of your completed application we will
phone you to go through your application and we will present you with
some family profiles.

"First of all I want
to refer to Cormac, who kind of became my substitute brother.
Before I came here I would not have imagined to build up such
an intensive relationship with that little fellow! Thoughts about
kidnapping have already come to mind (only joking!). But I really
have to say that he is a great child and we get along fabulously.
That could not be any better!
Deirdre and David have also become part of my family.
Whenever I need someone to talk to or some advice they are there
for me. I do feel at home here in their family (otherwise I would
not have extended my stay abroad for 2 months!).
All of them are very open, interesting and they
have a good sense of humour!
During my time here I made trips to Belfast, Galway,
Westport and Wexford, so I have seen really nice parts of Ireland!
Especially the countryside is beautiful with sheep almost everywhere
but where they are supposed to be. I will come back soon!!!
